VOCALS AND GUITAR. Billy Lunn Morgan. (wird übersetzt)
Lunn first started his musical "journey" when he took home the Epiphone
acoustic guitar that his Nan's lodger left in her flat. The lodger
never returned and so he kept the guitar for himself learning the
conventional blues riffs that his dad taught him. From there on he
taught himself and often improvised lead solo's to Oasis songs on his
ratty old acoustic guitar.
Taking to Oasis he played non-stop to the hi-fi that spurted out tunes
like 'Supersonic' and 'Slide Away'. Having learnt all the songs from
his very own little ear, he began to play and improvise his own little
tunes.
These 'little tunes' were more influenced from the Motown era in music,
which spanned from Smokey Robinson and The Miracles to Marvin Gaye and
The Ronettes. However, he still liked to jam out the rock element of
all the songs he had learnt from playing to the Oasis tracks.
Years later, having listened to more and more tracks from many
different people he began to write his own songs. These new songs were
taken from his later influences such as The Who, The Beatles, Pink
Floyd, AC/DC, Fleetwood Mac, Led Zeppelin, The Sex Pistols, The
Carpenters, T- Rex, The Monkees, The Beach Boys, Dire Straits, Bob
Dylan, The Clash, Nirvana, Oasis, Blur, The Libertines, The Vines,
Black Rebel Motorcycle Club and mainly The Von Bondies,
Lunn's mum and Dad were always playing music in the house and it
spanned from R&B to Raw punk rock. That's where Lunn's beliefs
first began to manifest. He had always believed that no matter what
style or taste the music may be, as long as it has integrity and
passion, it matters.
At present, Lunn has written a selection of songs that he is content
with, as all these songs display, in his opinion how he should be
expressed now. His music Changes with him and he will change direction
soon, but when....?
